ABOUT MICHAELA
Michaela is a Maltese dancer, who has been dancing since she was 3 years old. She trained at her local dance studio, Dance Academy, doing ballet, modern, contemporary, jazz, and Spanish/Flamenco.
At age 13, Michaela was presented with an international award by the artistic director of the RAD, Lynn Wallis, enabling her to attend a RAD International Summer School of her choice.
Michaela auditioned at the Northern Ballet School in Manchester, and was awarded a full 3-year scholarship in 2014 -2017. During this time, she proceeded to obtain her ‘Master Personal Training’ diploma and ISTD teaching qualifications.
After graduating, she attained her first professional dance job at Global Village in Dubai. The contract was 6 months long, and she was performing 3-4 shows a day to audiences as big as 100,000.
Michaela then danced on the MTV EMA’s stage for pop stars Mabel (choreographed by Amber Rimmell) and Becky G (choreographed by Cat Rendic) in Seville in 2019. I have also been featured in music videos for artists like Rosalia in 'Chicken Teriyaki' and in 'Round & Round' by DJ Tiesto and Allegra, among others. My involvement in 2023 Nintendo commercial, Bollywood films and special appearances in several films further highlight my diverse experiences. Notably, I was part of the Concept of Movement crew during the first season of Malta's Got Talent, where we were honored with the Golden Buzzer.
Michaela’s aim is to approach dance the same way that athletes approach their sport, and thus, the Athletic Artist Approach was created.
Michaela currently travels between London and Malta, training and teaching clients locally and online.
